Jiminy Cricket, who first appears in the beginning of the film, tells the story of Pinocchio, how he became Pinocchio’s conscience, and he learned something new from wishing upon a star, a blue fairy, and a wish coming true! So, Jiminy Cricket (Cliff Edwards) sings the song, “When You Wish Upon a Star”, and it goes: Now, as the good fairy shows up in Geppetto’s house, and just as she is about to grant his wish, she quotes (as Geppetto is fast asleep): “Good, Geppetto, you have given so much happiness to others, you deserve to have your wish come true”! After Geppetto makes his wish, he falls asleep, and the blue fairy from the wishing star appears in Geppetto’s house, and grants Geppetto’s wish and gives life to Pinocchio! At night, after Geppetto finishing carving Pinocchio, he looks out the window and spots a wishing star in the sky and makes a wish upon the star. Pinocchio, one of the best, famous (most popular) stories written by Carlo Collodi, and made into a popular Full-Length Animated Feature film by Walt Disney, is a wonderful fictional story about little wooden puppet (marionette) who becomes a real-live boy, is about wishing upon a wishing star! Geppetto, a fabulous woodcarver, carves a puppet and gives him the name Pinocchio.
